The cotton industry has once again honoured its people at the 2018 Australian Cotton Industry Awards.

The boundaries were definitely pushed at this year’s Australian Cotton Conference, with 2460 people making their way to the Gold Coast to attend the premier industry event.

The Australian cotton industry is ensuring it has a vibrant group of people to take the industry into the future, with the announcement of 16 2018 Australian Future Cotton Leaders (AFCL) participants.

Cotton research featured strongly at the Northern Australia Food Futures Conference held in July in Darwin, NT.

The start of the 2018-19 year is significant for CRDC, with the launch of a new five-year Strategic RD&E Plan 2018-23; the accompanying Annual Operational Plan for the first year of this plan; and the launch of a new logo!

CRDC's annual research priority setting forum was held in Sydney today, with some 50 cotton growers meeting to discuss their RD&E needs under CRDC's new Strategic RD&E Plan 2018-23.

The annual CRDC Cotton Grower Survey is now open, and all cotton growers are invited to have their say. Growers and farm managers will receive an invitation this week to participate.

The winter edition of CRDC's magazine, Spotlight, is out now! This edition looks at the future of cotton innovation, with the launch of the new five-year CRDC Strategic RD&E Plan.

After 15 months of development in close collaboration with the industry, CRDC’s new Strategic RD&E Plan for 2018-23 will commence on 1 July. The Plan is our primary RD&E planning document and provides a high-level overview of CRDC’s strategic direction for the next five years.
